Sandy Hook is a thin 7 mile long peninsula that juts into Sandy Hook Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Sandy Hook is part of the Gateway National Recreation Area.
We depart from our two NYC piers when headed to Sandy Hook: Wall St. and E. 35th St.
You can bring your own beach chairs, umbrellas, and soft coolers. Please refrain from bringing hard coolers onboard to prevent tripping hazards and blockages of the aisles. Most importantly, don’t forget your sunscreen!

There are some great food trucks located at all of the popular beaches! Remember to pack a picnic lunch as there will be no concessions again until Memorial Day.

Dogs are allowed on the bay side beaches, but the Sandy Hook Beach shuttle company does not allow animals on their buses. If you wish to bring your dog, you’ll need to either stay near the ferry landing or walk to a beach.
