A breathtaking river cruise of fall colors
New York is bursting out in a brilliant autumn kaleidoscope. Make the most of it by cruising up the tree-lined Hudson River to rugged Bear Mountain, NY, aboard a state-of-the-art Seastreak catamaran. Relax and enjoy an ever-changing view of the fiery red, glowing orange, and golden yellow foliage that makes the Hudson River an international fall destination. During the cruise, you’ll enjoy a narrated tour provided by our professional guide!
We’ll stop in Bear Mountain, NY for the afternoon where you’ll have almost five hours to explore the rugged terrain and gorgeous views! We’ll return mid-afternoon in time to see the autumn colors by sunset and New York City start to light up for the night.
Please be advised that the pathway from the dock to Bear Mountain State Park is a .6 mile walk uphill. The first .3 mile is extremely steep and rugged. The pathway is not Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant.

- Be prepared to hike!
Comfortable footwear is a must at Bear Mountain! The walk to the park starts with a steep incline up a hill which can be challenging for some visitors. For this reason, we recommend wearing your best hiking shoes.
- Reconnect with Nature
Take a break from the city and explore the rugged terrain of Bear Mountain. Enjoy the stunning fall foliage on the cruise up the Hudson and then depart the boat directly at Bear Mountain State Park. Spend the day hiking, biking, and if you’re lucky – wildlife viewing!

- Bring the Kids!
There are plenty of activities for all ages at Bear Mountain State Park! Check out the playground, picnic areas and the famous, hand-carved Merry-Go-Round. Then pay a visit to the Trailside Museum and Zoo to learn about the native wildlife, geology, and history of the region.
- Dine at the Bear Mountain Inn
While you’re more than welcome to bring your own supplies for a picnic or meal-on-the-go, the Bear Mountain Inn’s dining options are hard to pass up. Dine at Restaurant 1915 next to a massive stone fireplace with incredible panoramic views, or grab some quick-eats at the Hiker’s Café or Stand 10.
