If you couldn’t get enough of the Beatles pow-wow at the Grammy Awards and missed the Beatles Fest in NYC – we have the next best thing to Ringo Starr himself. Well, maybe.
Strawberry Fields, a Beatles tribute band, is playing in the city at B.B. King’s through the spring and has your ticket to the most authentic Beatles experience you’re ever going to get.
According to them, “The band features true look-alike performers, handpicked from hundreds of auditionees, who speak in Liverpudlian accents and play on the vintage musical instruments that Beatles fans have come to recognize.”
Take in an all-you-can-eat brunch while the band sings the first four albums of The Beatles. Sing along to favorites from 1960-1964, then do a hop, skip and jump to 1967, where the album “Sergeant Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” gets a workout, with band members in garb identical to the originals – fringed epaulettes and all.
Strawberry Fields has been going strong for a decade, entertaining thousands around the country. They performed with legends from The Beatles early drummer Pete Best, to Paul McCartney’s drummer, to Tony Sheridan. Expect a memorable rendition of “Revolution”.
Munch on eggs, bacon, grits, pasta, chicken, and more to fuel your dance moves. Their performance is full of energy and even suitable for kids, so you can make it a family affair. Even better – because it’s a Saturday brunch!
Kids ride free through Memorial Day on Seastreak, so why not make a trip of it? Celebrate The Beatles’ 50th in style with a cruise to the city.
