If you live in New York, you have an opinion about the best pizza. (If you don’t live in New York, you might have an opinion about the best pizza, too, but we’re a little dubious about it. Unless your opinion is, “The best pizza is in New York.”) Everyone’s got a favorite pizza joint. It’s hard to go wrong with testing out other spots for a good pie, though, so if you haven’t already, head to Rubirosa Ristorante. It’s at 235 Mulberry Street, and if the pizza doesn’t draw you, the homemade pasta will!

Rubirosa 1

When the Moon Hits Your Eye

At Rubirosa, they make their pies with a thin-crust pizza recipe that’s been in the family for more than 50 years. That family recipe started out at Joe and Pat’s Pizzeria in Staten Island, the restaurant run by Rubirosa proprietor AJ Pappalardo’s parents, and has continued its delicious legacy in Manhattan. Taste tradition with Rubirosa’s classic pizza! Or branch out with one of their other creations, such as the vodka pizza, or the caprese with homemade cheese.

Pasta La Vista

For the days when pizza’s not what you’re hungry for, Rubirosa serves a delectable variety of other meals that are sure to hit the spot. Pasta lovers will be interested to know that Rubirosa’s pasta is made fresh every day, right in the restaurant.

Rubirosa 2

Old favorites like lasagna for two and ricotta ravioli are on offer, as are creations such as the mint gnocchi made with savory lamb. They have not neglected the salads, either. Fresh, house-made mozzarella makes the caprese salad something special. Or treat yourself to a fabulous plate of chicken parmigiano!

Pizza night? No problem. Seastreak will sail you to your favorite pizzeria (or closer to it, anyway), then get you back home again. Let Seastreak be your partner in your quest to test out every pizza place in Manhattan!

Sea you soon!
