Mysteries fill the world around us, but sometimes, the greatest mysteries are inside the human heart and mind. For people who view the world differently because of things like autism, even the simplest parts of life become inscrutable obstacles, and the complexities of human actions? Those can be the hardest things to understand. “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” takes us on one autistic young man’s journey to understand his family and the world around him. It’s playing right now at the Ethel Barrymore Theater on Broadway! (243 W. 47th Street)

Curious Incident 1

A Journey into a Unique View

Christopher Boone is a young man with a talent for mathematics, and Asperger syndrome. When he finds the neighbor’s dog dead, it inspires him to try to find the dog’s true killer. As he does, he learns more about the mysteries within his own family, which change his life forever. The production takes the audience through Christopher’s search in an elaborately staged production which gives viewers an inside look into how a person with social differences takes in the world around them.

Curious Incident 2

When the National Theatre of London staged this production, it broke records in London’s West End. It won an unbelievable seven Olivier Awards (those are England’s version of the Tony Awards), and was the first play ever to win so many. Broadway’s production stars Alexander Sharp, who makes his Broadway debut in this unforgettable play.
