It’s the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it? The global symbol of Christmas, the tree, lights up many places around the city. From the Rockefeller Center tree lighting to the classy Plaza Hotel tree, get a front row seat to the most magical moments known for kicking off the holidays.
The 2nd most anticipated holiday event after the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is the Rockefeller tree lighting on Wednesday, December 4th, 2013. The nationally televised event consists of performances by America’s favorite singers, a live audience of thousands and, of course, gazillions of lights! Word on the street is that Ariana Grande and Kelly Clarkson are slated to perform. We suggest getting into the city early, as people start lining up as early as 1pm. Grab our 12:20pm ferry from Conner’s Highlands to make it there in time. The show begins at 7pm and the lighting happens at 9pm. While you’re in the area, check out the NBC Experience store and studio tours.
