Here at Seastreak, we like to say we can get you where you need to go. We’re sorry to say, though, that this has its limits: a Seastreak catamaran can’t get you to Paris. Where we can get you, though, is most of the way to the Paris Cafe. You won’t find the Eiffel Tower or Arc de Triomphe, but you will find a great place to grab a bite to eat. It’s at 119 South Street, not even half a mile away from Pier 11.

A Notorious Hangout

The Paris Cafe is one of New York’s oldest pubs. It’s been here since 1873, with a fabulous view of the Brooklyn Bridge and some of the best pub food you’ll find. Eating here makes you a part of a rich history of patrons. Join the ranks of notables like Thomas Edison, Theodore Roosevelt, and the infamous members of Murder, Inc.

Chef Scott Hawley of Hell’s Kitchen fame has created a diverse menu, with meals to suit every taste. Like traditional pub fare? Try the lobster mac and cheese, or the lamb and Guinness stew. Want something a little lighter? How does crispy skin salmon sound, or an herb-roasted half chicken? Whether you’re looking for brunch, lunch, or dinner, you can step over to this restaurant in South Street Seaport and find what you’re hungry for.
