Dear Seastreak Customer,

As a result of the ongoing NJ transit strike, Seastreak will implement a modified schedule with expanded ferry service for Atlantic Highlands, Belford, and Highlands. The most up to date schedule can be found on our website here.

Increased Capacity & Additional Departures

To accommodate increased demand:

  • May 17–18 (Saturday–Sunday): Our largest 600-passenger vessel will be in service.
  • Starting Monday, May 19: Additional direct departures to and from Pier 11 will be added to Seastreak’s regular schedule.

Priority Boarding Policy

All departures will follow a priority boarding system:

  1. 40-trip, 20-trip, and 10-trip ticket book holders (first to board)
  2. One-ways, round-trips and all other tickets (last to board, space allowing)

To qualify, passengers with 40s/20s/10s must present both their ticket and the corresponding ticket book cover. Without the cover, passengers will board with one-way and round-trip ticket holders.

Priority boarding will end 5 minutes prior to the boat departure. At that time, all ticketed passengers will be allowed to board, space allowing. Any ticket book holders arriving within 5 minutes of the departure will not be given priority for boarding.

Note: One-way and round-trip tickets for priority departures will not be sold in-person until all priority passengers have boarded. We recommend purchasing tickets online in order to facilitate a speedy buying process. Digital tickets can be purchased here: Purchase Tickets | Seastreak

Ticketing Policies

  • All tickets are non-refundable and expire 60 days after purchase.
  • Commuter ticket books are non-transferable

Extended Weekend Ticket Office Hours (May 17–18)

To avoid weekday morning congestion, ticket offices will be open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the following locations. We encourage riders needing to buy ticket books to make time to visit our offices and purchase these over the weekend.

  • Atlantic Highlands: 2 First Ave.
  • Highlands: 326 Shore Drive
  • Belford: 10 Harbor Way

Parking & Shuttle Service

Due to expected high ridership:

  • Parking will be limited—carpooling is encouraged.
  • Arrive early to allow time for parking.
  • Additional parking and shuttle service will be available from overflow lots
  • Valet in Highlands and overnight parking at Atlantic Highlands, Belford, and Highlands will not be available starting Monday, May 19th. All cars currently parked overnight must be removed from the lots by the end of day on Sunday, May 18th.

Additional parking options are being finalized and will be announced shortly. We’ll share future alerts via our service alert distribution list and on the alerts page of the Seastreak website. If you are not already, you can stay informed by subscribing to our service alerts via this link.

Sincerely,
Seastreak
