Spring may be the season of love, but summer can be just as special for romance. Here are a few suggestions for those looking for fun summer date ideas!

Beach Day – Spending a day at the beach is great way to enjoy the outdoors while still relaxing. This effortless date is perfect for those who just want to take it easy.  Just don’t forget the sunscreen!

Picnic – Enjoying a picnic in the park is both romantic and fun!  It takes a little bit of planning and preparation, but those extra steps will really show your significant other how much you care. Make sure the food you bring doesn’t require too much setup, and is enjoyable both warm and cold.  Sandwiches are a terrific option, and you don’t need any utensils to eat them!

Broadway Show – A fan of the theatrical?  With theaters on almost every corner, and a show for everyone’s tastes, New York City is the place to be!  Grab a ticket to a classic, or try out an up-and-coming new show.  Even if the production is horrible, it will make for a great memory that you can reminisce about later.  Try stopping by a TKTS ticket booth for discounted tickets!

Sightseeing Tour – If you’re looking for a new way to experience the city, taking one of Seastreak’s sightseeing tours is our suggestion. See some of the city’s most famous structures from the comfort of our cushioned seats!

Bike Ride – Riding bicycles is a nice daytime date idea which merges the great outdoors with a fun workout. If you’re in the city, hop on a Seastreak ferry and bring your bike aboard. Then head on over to Sandy Hook for some great, easy bike paths!

Food Festival – If the traditional dinner date is not your thing, head to a food festival! You and your date can enjoy each other’s company while trying out new exotic foods, and now that the weather is warm, festivals are popping up all over the place.  We recommend stopping by the Clam Fest in Highlands!

The Clam Festival is a four-day action packed event featuring the freshest seafood, live entertainment, kiddy rides, games, contests, a beer and wine garden, and much more.   Admission is free, and the event takes place rain or shine.
