This fall the tri-state area was crippled by the superstorm known as Sandy. Businesses were closed, homes were destroyed, and many lives were changed. The famous Jersey Shore was deeply affected, but residents and business owners promised to rebuild.

While we are still working on achieving our former glory, we must not forget that it is the little steps that count. That is why we are happy to announce that Sandy Hook Park will be open on May 1st, and all six beaches will be open to visitors on Memorial Day!

Every beach will be guarded from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. that weekend, with the exception of Beach B. Many of the amenities, such as visitor centers, concessions, and restrooms, are still a work in progress, and will continue to be repaired throughout the season.

Beaches will have free parking until Memorial Day Weekend, after which parking will cost $15 per day, but why not skip the parking fees and go by boat? Seastreak will begin service to Sandy Hook Beach on May 25th, and we guarantee the ride will be more comfortable and less congested.

We hope to see you in Sandy Hook this summer enjoying the surf and sand, and we look forward to the future of this magnificent beach as we all work to restore the shore.

Are you planning on going to Sandy Hook this summer? Have you taken Seastreak to Sandy Hook in the past? Let us know on our Facebook and Twitter!

Sea you soon,

The Seastreak Family
