This Our Youth 1

Two Days in Three Lives

The time is 1982, and the place is New York City. When Warren steals money from his abusive father, he turns to his friend Dennis for help. Dennis, a slightly older youth who wields his charisma like a weapon, offers to help put that money to work dealing drugs. Their story is complicated by Jessica, the woman who has caught Warren’s eye.

You might recognize Michael Cera from such cinematic hits as Juno and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. He was also a favorite in the popular television show Arrested Development. He’s joined on stage by Kieran Culkin, brother of the somewhat infamous Macaulay Culkin, and Cera’s co-star from Scott Pilgrim. This Is Our Youth marks the debut of Tavi Gevinson, and it’s sure to be the start of an illustrious career!

An International Success

The play itself has attracted a great deal of starring talent over the years. In its various runs, it’s seen stars like Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers), Matt Damon (Good Will Hunting), and Anna Paquin (True Blood). It’s found international success as well, in London and also in Australia.
