Cinephiles young and old will unite for the NY International Children’s Film Festival. Get your fill of animated features, and movies for the kids from March 7th-30th at theaters all over Manhattan.

You can grab tickets to exclusive pre-release screenings and sneak previews of highly anticipated movies like Muppets Most Wanted, and Rio 2 3D, as well as special behind the scenes films. See the magic behind Broadway’s musical Annie in addition to the stop-motion animation of Laika Studios (Coraline, ParaNorman and the upcoming The Boxtrolls).

Suitable for the youngest of people, short films like “My Mom is an Airplane” and “Hello World” are being premiered at this festival. There are shorts for every age group, but particularly intriguing is “The Red Carpet” for ages 10 and up. This is a documentary following the twelve-year old Slumdog Millionaire actress Rubina, and depicts her real life in the slums, and her aspiration to become an actress.

Culture yourself and your children with international titles like Argentina’s Foosball and French Oscar nominated Ernest and Celestine about an unlikely friendship between a mouse and a bear- so cuddly and cute!

Tickets sell quickly to this festival, which offers a variety of films sure to please everyone. Pick the ones you want to see most and scoop up those tickets! The festival is also offering a VIP pass for $400 that grants you access to all the films being shown. Check out their site for the full lineup and locations.

Seastreak welcomes kids 12 and under to ride free through Memorial Day, so the money you save easily pays for their tickets to the festival!

Sea you soon,
