Did you get a chance to check out the World Science Festival? Maybe what you saw inspired you. Or maybe, you didn’t get to indulge your craving for science and engineering. There’s another opportunity to have a look at the possible futures of technology, science, and art. Better yet, you can do it in scenic Port Jefferson on Long Island! Seastreak’s new service to Long Island is the smartest way to attend the Long Island Maker Festival on June 14, from 10 AM to 4 PM! Make reservations now to guarantee you’ve got a spot on the ferry.

Long Island Maker Festival 1

Still Ferrying While there’s Science to Do

Seastreak’s your gateway to adventures in awesome science experiments for the entire family! Anyone with curiosity and a desire to create will have a great time with all the demonstrations and opportunities taking over the Maritime Explorium at Port Jeff Harbor (101 East Broadway). There’s something for everyone at the workshops planned for the day.

Long Island Maker Festival 2

The day starts off with a bang at a cannon kick-off ceremony. (And ends with one, too. More bang for your buck!) Other explosions include two volcanic eruptions and two explosion workshops. You can also get familiar with tomorrow’s robot overlords as robotics teams show off their creations.

Practical Science

Did you know music is a kind of science? It’s true! And there’s plenty of it throughout the day, with jazz, African drumming, and a Native American flutist. Learn more about momentum with the all-day free roller skating, too. Take your place in the maker movement, or just have a great day on Long Island at this unique event!

Long Island Maker Festival 3

This summer, take a Seastreak vacation to Long Island, Nantucket, and Atlantic Highlands! Enjoy the long days and warm sun on the beach, in museums, or shopping for mementos of your vacation in the most gorgeous places on the Atlantic coast.

Sea you soon!
