Let’s chat about vitamin D deficiency. In short, it’s no good. (Quality medical advice, brought to you by Seastreak.) We’ve been cooped up all winter, and some of us are looking a little pasty. Time to get back out in the sun and soak up some sweet, sweet vitamin D. For our health, of course! Turns out, we’ve got just the place to do it. Nab yourself a spot on one of our Nantucket ferry trips and head for Jetties Beach! It’s an easy walk, bike ride, or shuttle journey from town.

Jetties Beach 1

Beachy Keen

Folks who’d like to soak up some sun and paddle around in the waves will definitely want to take the trip to Jetties Beach. Its location helps calm the waves, making it a perfect swimming spot! Families love this place for its smooth seas. Kids and less-strong swimmers will feel right at home.

The beach has a boatload of amenities. Volleyball nets, restrooms, showers, and even a playground add to the fun. Lifeguards and changing rooms mean safer and more convenient enjoyment of the area. Showers let you wash off the sand and salt before taking in the rest of the area’s attractions!

Jetties Beach 2

Beachside Treats

When you get tired of swimming, the Jetties area features a boardwalk where you can find a bite to eat. For example, take your meal seaside on the decks of Jetties Beach Bar and Restaurant. Sit down and enjoy the view, or take food with you from their Take-Out Lunch Window. There’s even a beach shop in case you forgot your sunscreen.

We at Seastreak are entirely unqualified to give medical advice, but we do know a thing or two about ferries! Let us get you to Nantucket in civilized style, or enjoy a trip to Manhattan and back with our usual service.

Sea you soon!
