EFFECTIVE WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12th, ALL SEASTREAK PIER 11/WALL STREET ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES HAVE BEEN RELOCATED TO BATTERY MARITIME BUILDING (BMB) – SLIP 5. The street address for this new facility is 10 South Street, New York, New York 10005.
This move is at the direction of our landlord, the New York City Department of Transportation, and is being done in order to accommodate dredging operations adjacent to our normal operating slips. BMB is just a short three blocks south of Pier 11. The new location will offer a weather-protected waiting area, better access to subway stations at South Ferry and Bowling Green, easy access to grab and go food and beverage options, and public restrooms located in the Staten Island Ferry terminal next door. Seastreak will be the only ferry operator utilizing Slip 5 at BMB, which should provide a better waiting and boarding experience for you. Please note that the Seastreak entrance is around the corner on the south side of BMB.
The Battery Maritime Building was opened in 1909 and is a NYC Historic Landmark. It is being transformed into a fashionable hotel with a rooftop restaurant and private club run by Cipriani.
