Kids have terrible attention spans, especially the young ones. You can capture their focus for a minute or two, and then a squirrel runs by. Boom! They’re distracted and you’ve lost them. Let’s face it, though. We’ve all felt like that. We’ve had days when we couldn’t sit through a full-length feature film if we tried. The upcoming FilmOneFest is perfect for that! You can support this terrific night of brief cinema by attending the FilmOneFest Benefit Dinner and Auction on April 18 at 7 PM, at the Beacon Hill Country Club (8 Beacon Hill Road)!

FilmOneFest Benefit Dinner 1

A Dinner for a Good Cause

The FilmOneFest (also known as the Atlantic Highlands One-Minute International Film Festival) is a New Jersey’s favorite short film festival. It takes place on the third Saturday of July at the Atlantic Highlands Marina. It was founded in 2008, and it’s a celebration of both films under two minutes and the people who make them. It supports both local and international film makers, and gives them the opportunity to see their projects on the big screen, under the stars.

FilmOneFest Benefit Dinner 2

Ambitious festivals like this one take money to put on the best show possible. The organizers are putting on a terrific supper, and holding an auction to drum up the funds they need for this great event.

Sold to the Dapper Seastreak Passenger

Not only will there be a delicious dinner, there’ll be live music by the fabulous Laura Dubois. The most exciting part of the evening is the auction, however. Bid on vacation packages, or original art. The luckiest winner will receive a chance to attend a Sony Pictures Classics Movie Premier in New York City! That includes an afterparty with the actors. A chance like that doesn’t come along every day.
