If you’ve ever been to a favorite watering hole on a weekend, or during a particularly excellent happy hour, you know places like that can turn into a real zoo. Look closely enough, you can even see examples of all the different animals. Some ape beating his chest, a proud lion roaring to show off, an entire barrel of monkeys… It might be more fun to start off at the zoo. This weekend, you can do just that! Both on Friday, June 19 and Saturday, June 20, you can check out craft beers and tasty snacks at the Lions Tigers and Brews event at the Central Park Zoo! (64th Street and 5th Avenue)
Brew at the Zoo
Get out and enjoy a fantastic evening in the outdoors, experiencing some of the city’s best craft beers! More than 60 breweries will have their finest creations on hand for you to sip and savor while you party in this unique venue. There’s live music, too, brought to you by the Hudson Horns. Folks who’ve never heard them are in for a treat, as the Hudson Horns make up music on the spot to take advantage of the event’s energy!
VIP Tuxedo Time
The animals go to bed early, but you don’t have to. Lions Tigers and Brews runs from 8 PM to 11 PM both nights. However, if you buy a VIP ticket, you get special access to the zoo an hour early. VIP ticket holders get to see the Sea Lion Show, Tropics House, and the Penguin House during that extra hour!
Don’t wait too long to get your tickets. This party’s sure to be popular with the local wildlife.
