Logistics

  • The Atlantic Highlands terminal is within one of the largest marinas on the east coast, and makes a great place to watch the boats float by.
  • Our dock is within easy walking distance of many shops and restaurants along First Avenue within the quaint seaside town of Atlantic Highlands. Throughout the year, there are many great festivals and events going on throughout the town.

Parking

  • Parking is free.
  • Commuter parking is located on your left (Lot 2) and right (Lot 1) as you come down First Ave towards the Seastreak office.
  • Additional parking is available in the small lot located next to the Seastreak Ticket Office (Lot 1) and in our lots on Bay Avenue.
  • Overnight, one-night, and long term parking is allowed in the fenced-in Seastreak lot across the street from the ticket office (Lot 3), and at our fenced-in lot along Bay Avenue (Lot 4).
  • Please be aware there is a bridge from Lot 4 to Lot 3 to help cut down walking time to the ferry.

  • Please be aware of the restricted parking area for Highlands Municipal Marina. There is a 6 hour time limit which is clearly posted on signs.

  • All other parking lots in the area are municipal parking (not Seastreak property) and there is absolutely no overnight parking permitted in municipal parking, regardless of snow removal or not.
  • Any cars left overnight in municipal parking will be towed by the Atlantic Highlands Police Department at owners expense.
  • Any cars left overnight in Lots 1, 2, and 3 may be ticketed or towed at owner’s expense.

From South

  • Garden State Parkway, exit 105 to Route 36 East. Follow Route 36 past Monmouth Park until you reach Ocean Ave (one block west of beach). Make a left on Ocean Ave and follow north over Highlands Bridge. Go to the seventh light (approximately 3 miles) to First Avenue in Atlantic Highlands. Turn right on to First Ave. Follow to the end of First Ave. The boat leaves from our new permanent dock, to the left of On the Deck restaurant, at the end of the Hesse pier.

From North

  • Garden State Parkway to Exit 117. Follow Route 36 East approximately 9 miles to Atlantic Highlands business district jug handle (First Ave). Follow to the end of First Ave. The boat leaves from our new permanent dock, to the left of On the Deck restaurant, at the end of the Hesse pier.

From NYC

  • All bridges and tunnels to New Jersey. Take NJ Turnpike South to Exit 11 (Garden State Parkway South). Garden State Parkway to Exit 117. Follow Route 36 East approximately 9 miles to Atlantic Highlands business district jug handle (First Ave). Follow to the end of First Ave. The boat leaves from our new permanent dock, to the left of On the Deck restaurant, at the end of the Hesse pier.

From Brooklyn

  • Verrazano Narrows Bridge through Staten Island to the Goethals Bridge to the NJ Turnpike South. Garden State Parkway to Exit 117. Follow Route 36 East approximately 9 miles to Atlantic Highlands business district jug handle (First Ave). Follow to the end of First Ave. The boat leaves from our new permanent dock, to the left of On the Deck restaurant, at the end of the Hesse pier.
